Afroja Mustofa is originally from Bangladesh. She received her first bachelor from the University of Dhaka. After graduation, she moved to New York and received a New York State teaching license and started working as a universal pre-k assistant teacher. She has a passion for health care and has immersed herself into courses like EKG technician, phlebotomy technician and patient care associate. Now she works in the Northwell Health system as a patient care associate. She’s always loved food, talking about food and cooking. She watched the dietitians at work and thought: “I’d like to do that.” And is pursuing her second BA in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics at Queens College. Moreover, she is a youtuber focusing on arts and crafts. This summer she is working on a new and engaging app called Hungry4halal. This mobile application connects users with halal cuisine through recipes, restaurant mapping and engaging video content.
